Wanted: A Good Book
Just got back from a short walk - I stick to the same path, making slight deviations, and always get back within 25 minutes. I would have walked longer tonight, but I was getting really warm in my gym pants. I may be very ambitious and go again at 8pm after Corrie Street.
Weekend was good. Had my hair appointment after work Friday and got home shortly after 7pm. John and I went out to pick up a few things later on; which ended up costing over $100. Baby shower gifts and dog food, amongst other things. I had planned on getting up early on Saturday and head out for a nice long walk before it got too hot, but we ended up sleeping in until 9:15. Then I just didn't want to go. So we puttered around all day, and when John went to work I went out again for more groceries...spent the rest of the night in, watching tv, doing some on line shopping and had some wine.
Now, to change the subject completely - I am looking for a good book to read. Something entertaining but not complete fluff - if anyone has any suggestions, comment please!

My favourite book: Earthly Powers by Anthony Burgess. A classic. :)
Thanks for the suggestions, gals. I just checked them all out on Amazon. I already had "The Glass Castle" saved in my shopping cart!
This should get me started!
Steve - Well, that was only part of it. We also bought some groceries...my husband is on the Atkins Diet right now, so we have been buying lots of meat!
Toothfairy - I really should have read that one by now - everyone raves about it! Maybe it's time!
