I used to be 29 and holding....
As someone said, I lost my grip on my 20's...I now have a handle on being ms.30...

no title yet again
I really have slacked off posting...one of those things that goes in cycles.
What have I been up to the past week...hmm...new floor finished last Saturday (final trim detail and cleaning up) just as in-laws (husbands brother and wife) arrived for a family wedding and overnight stay. So, got cleaned up (house and body) fast and we all left here for the wedding which was about 45 minutes away. Wedding was nice; never seen a groom look so nervous before. Bride looked cute as did her wedding party. And it was a gorgeous day for a wedding - a blindingly sunny fall day.
We didn't stay long at the reception as the plan was to get back home, have some more family and friends over to have a drinking party, cheaply. It was a really fun night but I woke up the next morning feeling very embarrassed by some of my drunken behaviour and I really hope I didn't offend anyone. I was assured I didn't, but I think my drinking days are going to have to exclude tequila because when I have tequila I get really mouthy and will not SHUT UP! Rum and Coke is fine...it's just the damn tequila.
Had a short work week as I took Friday off to head to Moncton for some shopping. Did the usual Costco and Wheaton's stops. Got a start on some minor Christmas shopping, and odds and ends. I hope to get up for an overnighter in November with the husband to get some serious shopping done.
So today, I am in my velour lounge suit doing not much of anything!

Over 1000 Guests Served!
Served my silly postings, that is! I really can't believe 1000 visits - must be that "next blog" feature at the top of the page!
Overdue for a post
It took awhile to get in the mood to post...I have been sick for most of the past week, then away for two days, and just got the mood to get onto blogger this afternoon. Made a slight change to the title of the post - I think I will change it again soon but thought this would be ok for right now.
So, turning 30 came and went and it was a pretty good day/weekend. I got lots of nice things from family and friends, I got taken out to lunch and then out to dinner, had a delicious cake - and don't feel any different being 30 than being 29.
The husband and I went away the last two nights to Falcon Ridge Inn in Alma, near Fundy National Park. The plan was to do some hiking, but the rainy weekend and my flu/cold symptoms made extended hiking out of the question. We did do the Laverty Falls trail, but instead of doing a loop we had to double back because most of the trail was under water. Overall, the inn was nice, the food was good and we just enjoyed being able to relax.
We just got home a couple of hours ago; I got a shower, started some housework, and now doing some catching up on the internet before catching a couple of shows on tv this afternoon. As I said to my husband, I am not a big fan of Thanksgiving, but I like the day off.
