Three Days Left

I should really start thinking of a new title for this thing, as my final three days of being 29 are here. Any suggestions?

Painted the living room and upstairs hallway on Saturday. We both were positive it would all end in tears, but we ended up having a somewhat fun time. Not one fight! I was in bed that night by 9:30 - I really needed to catch up on some sleep.

Watched the Coronation Street episodes I missed friday on the repeat episodes Sunday. Went to the drug store...Went for a long walk in Sunday...Made a casserole for supper and then baked banana muffins. That's it for the weekend.

I had a comment asking about the golf tournament, so here goes...

It poured rain as soon as we got to our first hole. We decided to see if we could last until 11am (2 hrs) before going back to the club house - none of us were there to really play golf, it was just to socialize, so what was the point in being uncomfortable all day for something we really didn't even care about. We did four holes then headed back. We all had were smart enough to bring a change of clothes, shoes, etc., so we dried off and played cards in the bar. And we were not the only people to call it quits, either.

I won another fleece pullover for my husband and some golf balls for him, too. Any time I go to any work function, trade show, convention - I always come back with stuff geared towards men or XL in size (like this one). He was waiting at the door for me to see what I got him, too. I tired to switch with another guy who won a muffin maker but he was scared that his wife would find out - that is so pathetic...something else that is pathetic is the fact that I had ticket 401 and the winning ticket for the ipod was 400...I am not joking either. Some little old guy won it...that and an overnight stay at the Delta...that topped off my lovely day in the rain.

Sunday I didn't leave the house. I watched "Entourage" on DVD - what a great show....better than I expected it to be.

And here it is Tuesday and I am about to put a frozen pizza in the oven and watch Coronation Street. In Canada, we are at the Christmas episode. I am such a loser that I have read ahead on itv about what happens the next couple of months. I totally ruined it for myself but I still enjoy watching it.

A Very Normal Life

I see Blogger has made some changes - nice!

I know I have been lacking in the blog department lately - just a temporary setback. I will get back into the swing of it again soon. Could be that life is more tame than usual at the moment.

Have a golf tournament tomorrow (a work-thing). Rain or shine and it is supposed to rain cats and dogs. Luckily, the other three on my team are of the same frame of mind as me...hightail it to the clubhouse if it gets to unbearable. We are set to tee-off on the 10th hole at 9am, so when we reach the 18th we will decide if we want to continue or not. I am thinking....NO! Dinner and prizes to follow, including an ipod and portable DVD player. One can always dream....Speaking of ipod, I saw an ad for the new ipod nano...would love that in my stocking this year!

If anything exciting happens tomorrow I will post about it!

Another gorgeous, balmy day. Haven't spent as much time outdoors as I should have, only getting out for a walk this morning. I was on a mission yesterday to clean out my closet and dressers and get rid of "stuff" (clothes, shoes, anything...). Accomplished that and re-arranged some furniture so I am set for the Fall.

The dog, Sandi, had a botched escape yesterday afternoon - my fault, really, because I didn't clip her lead properly. When it was discovered she was missing, only had to walk to the end of the driveway before I heard her yelping - she had gotten her lead tangled in some bushes two houses down. Her afternoon of adventure over!

Watched "Dear Frankie" last night - very good.

The only shopping I did all weekend was an Avon order online Friday. I am now waiting for orders from Sephora, Amazon, Sears and now Avon. I discovered Friday why I haven't gotten any yet - some truckers had a blockade up in Northern New Brunswick, preventing trucks to get in from the west (for a good cause - to protest gas prices). This is what the lady at Sears told me, anyway, as an explanation as to why my order wasn't in.

Tiny Post

Long time no post, and I really don't have time right now as I have to leave for work in half an hour and haven't even gotten dressed yet.

Just a little morning surfing and came across this article about the Sienna/Jude breakup (or lack of?). I bet he has been supportive...perhaps on his knees begging for forgiveness (for being caught)? Guess she is a better person than I am to say nice things about him.
